One of our members, Bobby Shepherd aka "MOSES", is calling on the next generation of bikers to
continue his long, dedicated fight for bikers rights. Bobby began riding motorcycles in the early 60's and
he joined the KENTUCKY MOTORCYCLE ASSOCIATION in 1985. After only four years he was elected
Director of the Southeastern Kentucky region and 18 years later, he is the longest running director in the
organization's history. During his term he has accomplished many things for the bikers in our region and
was credited with the defeat of the helmet law in 1998. In August of 2000 he became the third person in
Kentucky to receive the Heisenbuttel award for outstanding services in the fights for bikers rights and he
is also one of only 16 inducted into the Freedom Fighters Forum in Kentucky! After more than 20 years of
being a political lobbyist in Frankfort, he wants to hand over the torch to the younger generation and
hopes his efforts will inspire someone to continue the fight and represent us all at the capital.
